My homemaker wife is Canadian and trying to sponsor me for PR via inland. I am currently working. I understand that in this situation she's still able to sponsor me, but how do we prove our income? In the checklist, the required document for sponsor is Option C. I have already received both copies of her and my option C from the CRA. Would submitting both of those forms be sufficient proof? Should I write a letter to clarify the situation?

I've searched the forum high and low but haven't come up with clear answers yet. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

i believe what they use the option C for is to confirm the sponsor has not used any sort of social assistance (ie: welfare). It may work to your advantage to do as you suggest - combine both forms and provide explanation of your family income. I am not sure if the income guideline is for just the sponsor, or for both sponsor and applicant if the sponsor is not the primary breadwinner. Hopefully more senior members will have a bit more insight for you there...

While it is "just" for the sponsor. In the absence of income there, it would be prudent of you to do as you have suggested . . . to present how you are and how you will be supporting yourselves here in Canada.

Thank you both for your responses. Can anyone else help with more confirming answers?

CIC will look at the family income as a whole. Write a letter explaining that you support your wife and include both Option Cs. It won't be an issue.

My common-law partner is not working since we lived together. Last Aug 2012 he sponsored me under family class. He is not working, he is not in a social assistance but he got option-c and I gathered all his finances like bank accounts, his statements of accounts from his different stocks everything that proves his finances. I was working too as foreign worker. Now we are landed immigrants me and my daughter.
