Spouse sponsorship - sponsor employment and income questions

I am a Canadian citizen and am planning to sponsor my wife to get her Permanent Residence in Canada.
I have a question regarding the "sponsorship evaluation" form where it asks your employment situation.

My current employer is in her home country as we were living there up until recently when we had to come to Canada due to personal matters. I am still working remotely with my employer in the other country as I have permanent residence there. My concern is with regard to the sponsorship evaluation where I must state my employer and income. Will Canadian immigration contact my employer in the other country for any reason? My concern is that if immigration contact my employer and they find out she is applying for permanent residence in Canada that I may lose my job.

Also, when I state my income do I simply convert my income from the foreign currency to Canadian dollars? Appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

No, they won't contact your employer.

Yes, just convert to Canadian dollars. I used the Bank of Canada rate, as they give both monthly and annual rate averages.

Thank you for your reply. Now the question becomes how to I show a letter from my current employer stating my period of employment, salary and regular hours per week" if they are not based in Canada and I do not want them to know I am sponsoring my wife?

I was was in a similar position. Instead of the letter, I included all my payslips from the previous 12 months, as well as a copy of my offer of employment and a letter from my employer that detailed a salary increase and an hours increase I had received a few months before.

On an additional page, I simply explained that I couldn't include the letter because letting my employer know I was intending to move back to Canada would have risked my job.

My payslips will all be in Japanese however and electronically printed.
Finally, I also do not yet have any T4 in Canada because I have been working for my company abroad.
I have also not yet completed paying any taxes in Canada as it has been extremely confusing what to do and I am only now working it out.

My wife told her employer that she needed proof of employment so that she does not have to pay taxes in Canada and in our current country. It worked.

As scylla said above, have them translated.

You don't need a T4.

Have you ever filed taxes in Canada? If you haven't, you will not be able to include the Option C. Include a letter explaining that.

I have lived in Canada over a decade ago (I am a Canadian citizen) but recently came back from Japan. I hoping that if the payslips for the last year are translated then it should be sufficient for CIC.

I guess additionally it would be helpful to show a bank statement with my account balance here in Canada showing I can support my wife?

Don't simply leave out the Option C. It is a required document, so be sure to explain why you don't have one. If you send the app without either the Option C or an explanation for it's absence, your app could be returned as incomplete.

You can include the bank statement as further proof.
