Spouse sponsorship question

Hello, my spouse and I are filling papers for our sponsorship. My visitor visa expires on June 4th.
Before filing for a sponsorship, should we apply for a visa extension or would filing for an open work permit suffice for status to stay in Canada while it processes?

On a second note, are we to send the entire sponsorship file at first? Or wait until she's accepted to sponsor me before we send the rest and whatever else is requested after?

Hi, are yiu applying inland or outland ?

If inland, everything goes together.

About the extension, is up to you: applying for OWP gives you "implied status" , provided that you had legal status at the time you applied. However, if anything is missing and the package is returned, you lose the implied status and you are back on yiur previous status, if any.
