spouse sponsorship processing time new regulation

Hi,

my cousine has been advised by his lawyer that there is new regulation which processing time for spouse sponsorship is decreased from 32 months to 7 month for islamabad office. is it trure?

Well.. for the moment it seems like is not true...
cic website keeps showing 32 months.

maybe an update will be put soon if the info the lawyer gave you is true.

It's not true, just because the files are transferred to London doesn't mean you get London's processing times. The long processing times at Islamabad are partly due to low staff compared to the large # of applications, but it's also due to larger cases of marriage fraud in that country. Because of that, it doesn't matter which VO the files go to, as long as they came from Pakistan, the processing time will always be long.
