Mine is a success story.
I sponsored my spouse who was in Dubai.
CIC AbuDhabi office was used.
In one years' time my file was complete.
My spouse came here on Apr 1, 2015.
He received his PR card in six working weeks.
Members, it happens!
All what CIC need is valid documentation.

Giving below dates

10th Mar, 2014: Applied for sponsorship by REDG mail
25th Mar, 2014: Application received by CIC by REDG mail
21st Jul, 2014: CIC sent email advising eligibility of sponsorship
1st Oct, 2014: Spouse received email from Abu Dhabi Embassy asking to submit documents about sponsor’s activities from the date of application till date.
10th Oct, 2014: Spouse submitted all required documents showing sponsor’s activities in Canada.
18th Nov, 2014 : Spouse received email approving Sponsorship and asking for Passport, with date of landing as 18th Feb, 2015
20th Nov, 2014: Spouse Sent request for an extension in landing date to March 31st , 2015.
24th Nov, 2014: Embassy send email to send revised Medical as original medical would expire as of Feb 18, 2015 and for extension, the medical has to be valid.
2nd Dec, 2014: Spouse submitted medical
10th Dec, 2014: Abu Dhabi Embassy sent email approving extension up to Dec 31st , 2015.
1st April, 2015: Spouse landed
19th May, 201: Received PR card by mail.

Spouse Sponsorship Application Submission at Abu Dhabi Office

Hi,

I'm a Canadian citizen living in United Arab Emirates since last 3 years. Got married last year in 2014, I need to know if i can submit my spouse's immigration application here in Abu Dhabi. or do i have to send it to the address in Canada mentioned below ?

Or If i can submit it here in abu dhabi, what is the address and what would be the procedure?

hi nancy,

did you send the application directly to abudhabi? or you sent it to cic centre canada? different people are giving different ideas and i'm confused. if you send it to abudhabi, can you please mention the address here? and if sent it to canada, please provide the address as well.
how much fee you paid along with the application? which forms you used? please help me by guiding me with your recent experience. would appreciated that a lot. looking forward, God bless.
