Hello everyone!
I have been reading the posts on this forum and I am very impressed by the knowledge of some of you guys. I need your advices as I feel that if I call CIC Call Centre again for questions and answers, which I do religiously everyday since two weeks, they will tell me to stop calling them.
Ok on a more serious note. I am presently in the process of filling up the application for my spouse. I am a naturalized canadian citizen living in Quebec and she is Russian. We have met on vacations one year and half ago and stayed together ever since. We married not long ago.
I noticed that on her country specific requirements, they ask for her "labour record". However, she doesn't have one since she didn't start working in her country. Will it delay our process?
I am also a little bit confused about everything that has to be notarized or certified. In the instructions, it is written "notarized photocopies of all other documents, unless instructed otherwise". It is very *censored word*ing confusing, and for nothing. Sometimes it says notarized photocopies are not necessary, for example for the passports. For the police clearances I know that they must be notarized photocopies. What about the rest? Not a word about them on the checklist. For example for the proofs of relationship, should I send original pictures or I can print them for organizational purposes?
I have heard that it is faster to process if we file the whole application in French. Is it true?
Is it important to "Validate" the forms for the barcodes when we fill them? For IMM008 they ask for the time when we applied for CSQ. Since we never applied for CSQ, we cannot put anything and must put N/A. However, we can't validate the form.
Finally, how can I modify my forum account settings to put my country flag (Quebec) and to put the timeline of our process?
