My timeline:
They received the application on October 26, 2010.
Approval date November 23, 2010.
My husband's application for PR was received on December 3, 2010.
My mother-in-law received a letter yesterday in Karachi dated February 11th, 2012 from Immigration. Theyve asked for a bunch of forms again (IMM0008ENU_2D, IMM5406E, IMM5669E, and Pakistani Nationals Form). Also asked for more proof in the form of post-wedding pictures and other evidence of our ongoing relationship. Theyve asked for an updated Police certificate from Karachi and one from Saudi Arabia (where my husband works). I have 45 days (until March 27th) to respond and provide what theyve asked for or a decision will be made based on the information they currently have "which may result in a refusal." Exact words.
What sort of proofs should I send them. I visited him in Dec 2010 and Dec 2011 during winter break (im still studying here). We attended a lot of weddings both times so I have a lot of pictures of the two of us. Should I print out screenshots of our facebook conversations? And I switched phone carriers from Rogers to Wind, so I dont have a continuous phone record of our communication. Do you think Rogers would be able to provide me with that information if I called and asked them? Im not with them anymore. Wind only has records available for the last four weeks.
I spoke to my immigration consultant and she's saying that theyre now beginning to clear some backlog of clients that applied in 2010.
My question is, has anyone else gotten this letter? She seemed to think that alot of people are receiving it now.
