Hello everyone! I am Italian and in August I will arrive in Toronto with a study permit in order to attend a post-graduate program, and my husband would like to come with me. I know that spouse or common-in-law partner of international students could receive an open work permit. I would like to know if it is possible for him to obtain the work permit directly at the border or if it is necessary to enter as a tourist first and to do the papers afterwards.
In addition, I know that there are some necessary documents, such as the declaration of marriage and the proof of funds. Is there anything else?
