My spouse is in Pakistan

i submitted my application june 18/2010
received letter saying that i am eligible to sponsor my spouse dated july 22/2010 and file ahs been transfered to ISLAMABAD for further processing.

I don't know whats going on anymore...anybody else that applied for spousal sponsorship appliaction for spouse in PAKISTAN to CPC Missiauga in june, receive any updates??

I'm from Jamaica but applied same date as you. but no update yet either they really need to hurry up and at least send us an AOR.

Its just been 2 months.. since u applied.. u have along wait ahead of you.. i have been waiting for 17 months since my husband applied.. /your spouse will receive a letter of acknowledgement from isb and the case would go forward from there.. its normal to not hear from them for 6-10 months

Great Person, wellcome on board,soon your souse will receive AOR letter but than after story will dead for the next 10 month atleast.

hi and welcome to the forum.

well since you have got the approval for the sponsorship from cpc, you will be getting you AOR pretty soon inshallah. it normaly takes 2 months for the aor to come in the meanwhile what you can do is collect around 20-30 pics of your wedding showing rukhsati, reception, walima and pics of dinners attending by both together plus properly label(name of people in the pic, where it was taken on what date and the occasion) the pictures.....the pictures should have both of you along with your families....

With the acknowledgement letter they will also send you a supplementary information form that you have to fill out.....it is also avalable on this forum as well

So my friendly advice is ti fill it out in advance so you may not have any delays in sending off the documents once you have received your AOR.

10 months?? thats a long time...is that how most of the cases are going these days if u want to sponsor someone from paksitan?? my cuzins sponsored their spouses and everything in total took about 9 months, 1 came last year...the other came the year b4...i hope it does not take longer then taht

Yes sir 10 month atleast, in past let say upuntill 4 yrs back it was taking only 3-4 month all my friends spouses arrived with in 4 month, unfortunatly those golden days are gone now, wellcome to ZARDARI governtment ;D which further distroyed PAKISTAN credibility.

I hope that your case will be completed in 9 month.

6-8 weeks for an AOR in Jamaica still nothing and no ecas updates.
I really feel for the people who have been waiting for ages on here.
hopefully and by the grace of God, you will soon get to the end of the road.

All I want to know is that my file is'nt lost or sitting on a top shelf somewhere.

hi...dats soo true that a long wait is ahead...
well my time line is as:
my husband applied:20th january 2010
my husband got a letter:22nd february 2010
i got a letter :23 march 2010
i got the letter with a suplementary form where i have to give em details that i am still in contact with my husband, 20 pictures showing nikkah,rukhsati, n ve to label their back that wat my relation was with every 1 in thoz pix...then i also provided prrof that my husband is finanacially supporing me as they required...
nw status also says that ur process have been started 23 march 2010...its october 1st 2010 still no answer...i mailed them to knw my status(on 29th september 2010) their reply was: your application is in que waiting to be reviewed.thanks for the patience"
still i am waiting ......for the passport call

hsy, that is the standard reply they give to every one my spouse eCASE started on Jan 25/2010 & still no words.
