If you have your landing papers - your Client ID number should be at the top right corner. Canada does not give away any more of those Citizenship cards - The Number on the older Citizenship card is and should match your Citizenship Certificate Number.

Once they start the whole process you will be sent a File Number along with the CIC Number - All the best.

May be they are doing security checks. For Pakistanis who knows how long that takes.

Why u dont contact ur sponsor's mp in canada ,they r the only one that the empassy have to reply to them when they request info
