Mine never changed from DM. I landed 2.5 weeks ago. The last time I checked everything had disappeared.

Sarim after receiving your passport with Visa did you check the CIC website what 'Decision Made' changed to?

I guess DM is final status from CIC and 5th line will be added after landing. PR has been issued.

Sin number = same day
Health card = you are eligible 3 months after landing but you can apply for it any time (this is in Ontario, I don't know about other provinces)
PRC = it takes 2 months to arrive, and you dont apply for it, when you land, the officer at the port of entry will apply on your behalf

Mohammedessam, I am in BC and it's the same deal as you describe for Ontario.

I flagpoled as I was in Canada by the time I got my COPR. I was also told 6-8 weeks to receive my card. The COPR was signed by myself and the immigration officer and stapled into my passport on the entry stamp page. This document is enough to take to Service Canada to get your SIN.

I'm so frustrated with CIC....my husband's mailing address is listed as his OLD residential address in ECAS even though we sent the update over a month ago..and according to GCMS notes, they have not received the first 4 case specific enquiries we sent to update information....I'm worried we will miss a request for documents, etc....everyone else seems to be getting decisions or document requests....we have heard nothing...don't know if this is good or bad news...

My suggestion is do not pin visa office again and again just wait for a while if nothing heard from them order notes and if other people getting DM PPR or documents request you cannot ask cic about that, they will always say check your visa office processing time even your MP too.

I just have a qs regarding the visa is it only for one entry? And what if the persob had something urgent to travel for before he gets his prc ? He wont be able to get back again to canada?

I know...I never ask them about the progress of our case...I've only provided updates as things have changed (as they indicate we should do)....my letters to the politicians are only about generic ideas to improve communications in general
