Hi all,

Greetings from Canada! ;)

I finally landed in Toronto on 21 Nov and when the Visa Officer said 'Welcome to Canada', the feeling I experienced cannot be expressed. I landed around 3.15 pm Canada time and was done with the immigration, SIN, baggage collection and customs by 4.45 pm very fast and no problems at all!

Congrats JenPin - hope you enjoy all the snowy days to come.

Feel free to ask any questions that you may have and if anybody would like to volunteer to update the sheet I could give them access to do so.

I wouldn't mind looking after the sheet for now, until such time where I pass the torch.

There is no SIN card, just a paper with you SIN Number on it.

As soon as you get your COPR copy and passport stamped by the Officer, the officer directed me to go to Service Canada counter to apply for SIN. And it was done.

Did you have fill out a form for bringing in your jewelry of any kind or like a deceleration ? I was told that you will have to fill up one and have with you when you enter Canada ?

Ok Guys a little update on myside
Passport sent - 16th nov
Passport recieved at ADVO - 19th nov

Uptill today 6 business days..
According to Tracking number of RWB ADVO just handed over the passport to Aramex today in afternoon..
Cant wait to have my passport back in my hand hopefully with visa stamped on it *In sha Allah*

Almost there - I am glad that some of the members did not have to struggle to hunt down their passport. That is something I am worried about.

Muhammad Azan, TamyBoy & Heat9999 any updates from you since your status changed to "In Process " ?

I know Muhammad Azan got a re-med request and has already sent that in.

From the country specific guide (UAE) you need to fill the following forms all by pen.

1. Residency Questionnaire (to be filled in for the the applicant)
2. Residency Questionnaire FC3 (to be filled in for the sponsor) - signed by sponor
3. Supplementary information form which has travel history, education etc (to be filled in for the Applicant).

Hope this helps

Hi yea, it was greatly helpful for me, thanks
my next question is, in the country specific guide page # 16 Appendix B Photo Specifications:
is this separate photo other than the wedding, honeymoon photos etc? if yes how many photos are required? it says
Make sure that you provide the correct number of photos specified in this guide.
but don't know what is the correct number of photos? is this only my photo (the applicant)

You could mention the date on which you fill the form.
