Hi everybody,
I'm new in this forum. I've some questions concerning those applying via Abu Dhabi. For the residency questionnaire question 3 & 4:
3) If your sponsor is not living in Canada, please explain why and when he/she intends to return to reside in Canada once your visa is issued. Please provide as many details as possible.
My wife currently resides in Canada.
4) What preparations have you and/or your sponsor made for your move to Canada? Prior to finalizing your application, we will require proof that your sponsor will return to Canada to live permanently. Should you wish to provide a documentary proof in support of your answers at this time, this may assist the Visa Officer in processing your application.
7) Will you and your spouse be both moving to Canada and reside together permanently?
8) Will you, the principal applicant, cancel your Gulf residence visa?
What is the best answer for the above questions. I really need answers so that i can submit my application. Thanks
Hi Angelaehis,
these are very important questions because they will help the officer determine if you will go to canada or just get the PR and stay abroad.
3) this question only applies to those who have sponsors NOT living in canada.
4) for preparations you can provide any of the following :
Show them that your sponsor has prepared for your arrival :
- has bought furniture (show receipts)
- has bought a home ( show proof)
- has emailed any one regarding a mortgage for you
- has emailed anyone regarding any preparations for you (maybe she has asked someone about your job prospects)
- if you will live with family, get a letter from the family member saying, we are expecting him to come, we are very excited and we have made a new bedroom for them or we have finished our basement to accommodate them etc etc
- also send proof that your wife has establish a life there in preparation for your arrival (ie opened accounts, gotten a credit card, drivers licence)
Show them that you are preparing to go
- any email correspondence with anyone regarding your new life in canada (example, talking to someone about english classes, talking to any recruiters, talking on any forums about your new life there and questions to prepare yourself)
- any proof of funds that you send to your wife for as long back as possible.
7) YES, you must say yes and you MUST move to canada. this is a requirement, however they can only make you stay in canada 2 years of the first 5 years.
so you could say...i will not go immediately, but i will go after 6 months (or whatever) but then you would have to give a darn good reason why.
dont let them think that you dont want to go and will just take the PR and stay abroad (and hopefully that is not your intention!)
proof proof proof.
send anything that will help make the officer believe that you are going to go to canada and your spouse will remain there.
