I don't think you need to include the ID. But you need to fill the ID number and its expiration date on one of the applicant form. For the PCC, if you got it from your local police precinct, then sent it to the public notary office to translate and notarize, and that is what you got, then it is OK.

Did you apply all by your self? Do you know how many months of utility bills or bank statements should I print? A year? Or just a couple of months? Or those shared expenses

I hired a lawyer, but we supplied all the necessary documents that required on the check list. And for all those bank statements, utility bills and such, we printed out at least 6 months to a year to show the continuous and legitimacy.

Thank you! For notorized documents, did you submit the original booklet or you only send a copy of the notorized booklet?

We submitted a notorized copy of the hukou from police station in China. Also we did submit a translated and notorized copy of the ID card from China. In terms of bank statements, bills etc we submitted 18 months of these documents.

Same as the PCC, you need to find a public notary service in your local city or actually in any cities in China and give your Hukou to them to make a copy, they will translate and notarize it. And they will give you a booklet that including the notarized translation and Hukou copy.

It is not mandatory to provide a certified copy of the ID and its certified translation, but I suppose that CIC won't mind if you do. You can just send them the photocopy of your ID, with your own translation.

For the booklet of the certified Hukou, you need to send the original with your application. For the booklet of the PCC, you need to scan it and send it online, after you received the request from CIC
