Hello, I submitted the sponsorship application on May 1, 2019 and there was a maximum period of 12 months given to wait for approval. It has been a 15 months since I'm waiting.Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I understand that there may be some delays but I want to know whether the visa offices are still open and whether my application is still being processed. My file has been at the UK visa office for the past 9 months. If possible, can you please provide with some details regarding how long it will take from this point for my visa to be issued a visa.

VAC is the front-end service of the visa office, they are synchronized, and the holidays of the VAC and the visa office are always consistent.
12 months is just an estimate. 12 months isn’t guaranteed and some countries routinely go over 12 months. With covid things will get delayed even more.
