Spouse Sponsership - outside of canada ( question )

Hello Guys,

I am currently a permanent resident of Canada, I had to leave Canada due to family emergency. I have two questions regarding spousal sponsorship

1) Is it okay to apply for sponsorship of my wife while I am out of country? ( I will be returning in July )
- An agent told me that I need to be physically present in Canada to apply for my wife

2) I had to resign from my Job due to the sudden family emergency, but I am getting back the same job in July. Is it okay to put offer letter along with letter of explanation regarding the situation?

Your agent is correct. Citizens can apply to sponsor spouses while abroad.

Yes, but since you won't be applying until July anyway...
