Hello Everyone,

Couple of questions regarding the spousal sponsorship for OUTLAND.

So my husband will be able to sponsor me starting Jan-2019. Now we are in Canada.

If my husband applies for an Outland application, on Jan- 2019 for me and stayed in Canada until May-2019, does that affect the application in any way?

1-What would be expected in the first 4 months of applying from the embassy?

2-Would they mail anything to my Outland address? Or my husbands address in Canada?

Why does he not qualify to sponsor you now?

You can be in Canada and apply outland. You would need to update IRCC on any address changes.

You can stay as long as you are able to extend your visitor status.

Whether they request anything depends on whether you submit a complete app and how fast it is processed. No one can say.

You do not need to travel for the passport request. You can submit your passport to Ottawa if you are in Canada.

Sorry just to get it right, so if I apply OUTLAND, I don't have to travel outside Canada and I can send passport to Ottawa IN CANADA?

So what's the difference for inland in this point ?

You would have to leave Canada if called for an interview.
