Spouse rights with EE application

Hi there

I have a basic question to which, for some reason, I seem unable to find the answer.
Lets say that someone applies through EE adding the spouse to the application. This spouse is accompanying the main applicant.
What are the rights of the spouse in terms of residency? Is it exact same conditions than the rights for the main applicant?
The same goes for working, is the spouse eligible to work without restriction as the main applicant? Does the spouse need to apply for a work permit instead? IRCC's FAQ says that the latter is usually the case (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=199&top=17). However, it is not very clear for me if a spouse through EE can apply for an open work permit: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=177&top=17 ; or if the only work permit that can be applied for in this situation is a employer-specific work permit.

In my particular case, we are outside Canada and we will most likely get and ITA in the next draw. So, can anyone tell me if the spouse here will be able to work in Canada? Or point out to where I can find this information?
Many thanks for your help.

All PRs will have same rights. You applied as FSW(or sth else.) She applied as Dependent. Thats all. (Same case even in a single applciation.). Cant Explain more.

Right depend on status. What status your spouse has, what his/her rights are. Since he/she is going to get PR status, he/she will have rights and obligations of a PR.
