Hi,
I have a low EE CRS score of 382 and trying to make my wife the primary applicant due to age factor. She will gain a score of around 456 & we are trying higher. But in the last 10yrs, though she has experience, she has it in the first 4Yrs. She had quit working from 2014 Oct. Will this impact the chances of getting selected under EE / PNP?

No, it won’t - assuming you are trying to qualify for FSW.
Yes Dan, I have checked the eligibility for FSW and she met it.
We have an apprehension that given she has not been employed for past 6Yrs, the profile may not automatically be picked up or will be rejected at the final PR stage. Nothing wrong in trying but there is a lot to do - as she has to take IELTS again and we have to send her MBA ECA to another agency given it was recognized as 1Yr diploma by WES (falling under category of two or more degrees). Are we sure shot that unemployed from past 6Yrs doesn't affect the PR chances if the EE score is met (even through EE draw / PNP)?

I don't know what the requirements are for the various PNP programs.

For EE/FSW, any skilled work experience in the last 10 years counts towards the minimum requirements and the points.

Here are the requirements - you will notice it does not state anything about a requirement to be employed presently:

"Skilled work experience
Skilled work experience means that you’ve worked in 1 of these National Occupational Classification (NOC) job groups:
  • Managerial jobs (skill type 0)
    • Professional jobs (skill level A)
    • Technical jobs and skilled trades (skill level B)
You must show that while working in your primary occupation, you performed the duties set out in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC. This includes all the essential duties and most of the main duties listed.
Your skilled work experience must be
  • in the same type of job (have the same NOC) as the job you want to use for your immigration application (called your primary occupation)
    • within the last 10 years
    • paid work (have been paid wages or earned commission—volunteer work or this means you must unpaid internships don’t count)
  • at least 1 year of continuous workor 1,560 hours total (30 hours per week)—you can meet this in a few different ways:
    • Full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
      • Equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
      • Full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)"

If your wife meets the requirements above, she will qualify. Simple as that.

There is no risk that the profile won't be "picked up", as you call it.

The system does not work like this. Any candidate with the required amount of CRS points will receive an invitation to apply.
Excellent Champion. Thank you so much.
Just one more related question so posing here, though thread title is something else. My wife's work experience is as such :
1. At HSBC - Analyst working in Fraud investigation team wherein card related frauds pertaining to UK customers has to be investigated / analyzed
2. At Deloitte - Analyst working in compliance team wherein card related frauds pertaining to employees has to be investigated / analzyed

What exactly is the NOC she needs to apply for ?I have gone through all the related threads and this has been an unanswered question everywhere.

You need to look for the NOC yourself. There are so many different jobs and titles, so you won't find a forum thread for each occupation.

Use the advanced search tool to find the NOC that has the best overlap of duties and responsibilities. The job title is not relevant; it can be different from what the actual job title was.

You may have to select different NOCs for the two jobs.
Hi Dan, My intention was to say that - its been very difficult to identify the NOC for these job responsibilities. People have debated about NOC for these job responsibilities and no one have confirmed anything. I have also been hunting for the same.

Anyother members who have similar job responsibilities may confirm what exactly is the NOC.

There is no right-or-wrong, general answer because it depends on the individual job. Again, job titles are irrelevant, so if someone tells you "Fraud Analyst" is NOC such-and-such, it could still be wrong because it depends on the duties and responsibilities.

The visa officer will essentially take your reference letter and compare the duties and responsibilities listed there to the duties and responsibilities of the NOC you have chosen. There must be a match for most of them, otherwise the application will be rejected.

If you already have a reference letter from the employer that lists the duties and responsibilities, you need to use the search engine I mentioned above and find the NOC that has the best overlap.

If you haven't got the reference letter yet, and you have a good relationship with the employer, you can ask them to tailor the reference letter such that it more obviously resembles the NOC you have chosen (while staying truthful, of course!!!).
Many thanks Dan.
