My wife has sponsored me from Canada, on 3rd November 2011, after 3 or 4 months my wife has received a confirmation letter from Canadian embassy. After some months i have received a letter from embassy on august 2012 for some missing or incomplete documents. I have submitted all required documents before the end date in august 2012. Now i don't no how much take time to complete the process. I really don't want to wait more. I need my wife. My life is incomplete without my wife.

Thanks for your time it is appreciated!

Unfortunately it's difficult to say how much longer you will have to wait. The posted processing time for the Islamabad office is 26 months.

However many people to get through faster.

Also, the fact that your application had some missing and incomplete documentation may have created some delays.

26 months is the time it takes to process 80% of the applications so most are faster and some are slower. However, to avoid delays, if they ask for documents, even if you already sent them, immediately send them new copies and a letter stating that you have sent them already on such and such date but here they are again.

Thanks for replying (Leon) (Scylla) .

I have already submitted my all documents but i don't know why they are delaying my visa process.

Likely background checks verifying the info in your application. What documents were you missing/incomplete? Note you may or may not be scheduled for interview. An interview will increase your timeline.

3 months ago i have submitted my missing documents of Police certificate and additional family information but still waiting for my reply.

Your application is within the stated processing times for that visa post so not sure why you think its delayed. Also you have initially failed to submit some required documentation. Usually if this happens the visa office mark your file with a date when they will review your file to see if the documents are in i.e. just because you sent the information does not mean they open your file again on the date they receive the documents. This adds to the processing times. Your spouse can visit you while your application is being processed.

Thanks for your kind reply.. Some months ago i have take too much tension about my visa because i am worried and i can't live without my wife. Two years period is too much long it's a hard period to live without wife. I have request to Canadian embassy please give a short time to giving visa to any spouse.

Its not easy to be apart from family members but CIC must balance this agaainst many factors including maintaining the integrity of the immigration programmes. Processing times are primarily impacted by the resources available and how many applicants the visa post is processing - Islamabad is busy. Note that the processing times refer to time for 80% of applications..yours may be faster. Also the CIC take is that your spouse can visit you in Pakistan so its not really the case that you have to be apart until the application is finalized.

Hello

Thanks for replying back to me. I can understand that people who are looking at our applications they are very busy. They get so many applications to work on through out the year. But my wife can not come to pakistan because she is so busy with her work and her work does not allow her to take any days off. We both are very depressed about it. She wants to come to pakistan but she is helpless. We both miss each other very much.

Thank you

Regard,

M. Hussain. Shah

There is really nothing you can do but wait and hope your application is processed quickly.
