Spouse Open Work Permit

Hello

AM done with my studies (PG Diploma - 1 year) and am graduated. AM planning to apply for my PGWP. I know i will be getting a one year work permit.

Am already working Full time as a QA Analyst in a Software company. I want to bring my husband to canada through Spouse Open Work Permit. When i checked with a lawyer she told me that i should have 3 Years work permit and there is a less chance for 1 year work permit to get accepted.

If i apply for SOWP with 1 year Work Permit is there a very less chances for my husband to get it?

You may want to apply for a visitor visa for him to come to Canada first. Once he's here, you put in application for an open work permit for him, and attach copies of your work permit, offer letter from your employer plus your paystub. At least at the time of this application, your work permit must be at least 6 months valid. The requirement can be found in the following link. Good luck.
