Hi

I have uploaded open work permit of my spouse as status of Family member. As Proof that you meet the requirements of the job being offered, I have attached my Ph.D certificate because when i called CIC they suggested me to upload this. As I am exempted from LMO, I have also included an explanation letter stating that I am exempted from LMO.

Other docs were

Passport
Marriage certificate
Employment letter

The scanner I used had an option to select the size and pixel of desired quality. So i just used those options.
Chandan - Have you uploaded Schedule 1 optional document?

Patricia1221, can we scan and upload a picture?
Yes you can. The pixels and size is good to manage with Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Of course you have to work on your photo to reach the requirements.

Online app: usually after questioner they provide you the doc check list and you have to follow that, in additional they may ask to upload some documents later on.

Hi Everyone,
I am submitting open work permit under spouse sponsorship and completing Imm 5556.

I am not sure what does current immigration document means? Is it the valid Work Permit I have? or something else?

Hi

I guess you have to fill IMM1295 for work permit.
But if you are applying using IMM 5710, You have to inform about the OWP at the port of entry.

Thanks,

I am getting ready to submit the spousal OWP and have gathered all documents.
On reading the comments here, I need your help to understand if I have missed out of any documents.

IMM forms

Main Applicant
Work permit
Job Offer Letter
Letter from employer
Should I keep my passport copy?
Pay stubs
Bank statement – is it okay if I only keep one month statement?
If I have completed my studies in Canada , should I keep the transcript?
Invitation Letter – Did you keep one, please can you share a copy ?

Spouse:
Passport
Marriage certificate
Bank statement – is it okay if only one month statement is kept?
2 photo

How much money did you show in either accounts as I am confused on what is the minimum we need to show? Thankyou very much as your response will be of great help

Hi,

I would suggest to include Video , Photographs if any and also call records which could show the ties between you.

All the very best. Keep us posted with the status.

Thanks

Hey,
I have the same problem, I'm not sure what to answer for the following qustion -
are you accompanying a family member who has status in canada?

I'm in the step of "Find if you're eligible to apply".

I am a student and i have to exted my study permit. My common-law partner is with me and he have to exten his open work permit (He depend on my visa). What should i answer? Yes or no?

Here is the help from the CIC site regarding this question:
Accompanying a family member means you will be staying with a family member who is already in Canada as a visitor, worker or student.

Accompanying family member: A spouse, common-law partner, dependent child or grandchild of someone who is still dependent on their parent, who plans to immigrate to Canada with the principal applicant. Accompanying family members are included on the application.
