Spouse Open Work permit

I applied for my Student Permit & my husband applied for his SOWP (we applied together) on 8th July. I got my student permit approved on 28th July and his SOWP was approved on 31st July. We both applied from India.

His application was processed faster as we had applied together (through a Canadian lawyer). So perhaps applying together is a good idea too

my husband's sowp file is refused. I had applied together for my bowp and his sowp in april 12. my visa was valid until 7th july , I am on implied status now.
In error cic has refused my bowp in june. I raise an inquiry but still they did not issue my bowp and on august 2 sowp refused due to the reason that your spouse did not have valid wp.
I had time so I had applied again on 6 july , waiting for my bowp.
can I raise cse inquiry and send them email of submission of my new bowp file number.

Sorry to hear that. You could try doing a CSE but from my personal experience, they are very no cooperative in terms of giving us a straight answer. Cant you apply again? Where are you situated now?

yes , I can apply again, but I need my bowp to get approved first. then I will try again.
this is 2nd rejection as I had applied in 2015 as visitor but they refused it due to lack of funds, no travel history.
I will update when I apply again for my husband.

Sorry I have no idea regarding your situation but seems like you should raise an inquiry

Hey Friends I have post this question on few other threads ,

I want to apply for my spouse work permit, she is in new zealand and working on employer specific work permit. I am working in Canada on LMIA closed work permit. When I applied for my work permit I selected she is not accompanying me because I thought we will apply for express entry right away, then rules changed, now m sitting on 412 Can she apply for her work permit now, I tried to call CIC but no help at all.

Hi, I want to apply for my Wife's open work permit as I am on post graduate Work permit and doing a skilled job for 4 months, but on CIC website says I have to convince Visa officer that we will leave after my work permit expires.But I don't want to write wrong info as I will apply for my PR next year, So what type of letter I should write.
1.Should I write that we intend to settle in Canda as I will apply for PR next year?
2. My wife is a housewife and will be done with her study on October this year, will it matter that she does not have any work experience?

Don't mention that u gonna settle in canada .
No need of work experience from ur wife .
They ll check ur work and ur account balance

2.Should I Have to attach her recent educational documents as she is not done with her bachelor program yet?or Should I keep the profession as Housewife and attach her Higher Secondary Certificate

If u are planning to live in Canada,u can go for SOWP else visitor visa.
Yes he can travel when he is in WP.

I think u have to wait for her degree certificate.im not sure about it.
Else you convince visa officer that she has to be back as she yet to complete her degree in India.obviously they ll approve as because of her incompletion of degree.

Yes ,he has to get decent amount .its good to show 7000 Canadian dollar in bank account .its Gud if u show 10000
