Went thru exact same situation.
submitted sowp for wife, did not submit any of my documents. (wp, offer letter, pay stubs)
later submitted them via CSE.
got email after 3 weeks saying documents have been received.
since the application was taking too long, I requested GCMS notes (and got them yest.)
It mentioned receipt of my docs, including my UCI, work permit expiry etc.

Short summary: they do accept documents when you submit it via CSE, but it wont show up in your cic account. also, even if they accept the document, it is up to the VO to decide whether to consider them when making a decision on your application.

Hey Paul,

What your GCMS notes indicate? Anything spl / VO notes or its a clean slate?

Assuming your application has not already been processed and likely refused by a case officer, and you submit this in time (it takes usually some one in CIC 10-15 days to attach info t your app), it will likely be added to your file.

If i were you and i had already added this info via CSE, i would just follow up with CIC (call their helpline in the morning to try confirming if they have actually attached this info to your file).

Good luck

Thank you.

I will call them tomorrow and check again. Going by the current wait time, I still have 3 more weeks before my application is picked up.

You are most welcome. So almost certainly (hopefully) those would be in and processed along with the rest of app. And you shouldn't have to worry about this

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this Forum. I would like to get some suggestions from you guys

When i was on my study permit, i applied SOWP for my wife and it got rejected twice.

The reasons for rejection was Unable to satisfy the legitimacy of marriage, and another one was no previous travel history.
I got that rejection in Nov 2016.

Now i am on Open Work Permit and already applied for AINP, and my spouse name is also there in dependents.

So, My question is, once i got AINP. What are the chances of my spouse to come to canada? and what should i apply after that SOWP or Visitor Visa for my spouse?

My NOC skill is B.

Thanks

mine tooo.... applied on 15th march, nothing yet.....
Looks Like we will have to wait another one month , I know many of my frnds who applied for Student VISA in Feb for May intake have not received any update yet , Moreover ours is SOWP which is i think list priority for them compare to Student Permit

If they reject it, do they take more than 2 months and then they reject it or what? Like what are the chances of approvals if it keeps on dragging on and on?

I am really happy for you. I now how frustrating it is for us to reunite with our loved ones. Although I am from Bangladesh and our processing file might vary, at the end of the day we are all human and I hope the CIC officers see it that way. It has been 33 days for us now and we haven't submitted the medical. And I doubt my spouse will get a call for interview as our visa office is in Singapore. Fingers crossed. And good luck!
