Thanks for your reply. yahh we applied for GCMS notes. But they didnt gave much abt it. They only mentioned that visa officer is not satisfied with our profile and they also stated he is not convinced that my husbnad will leave canada in intended time. That was the reply from visa officer on the whole.

Yeah probably please through your whole profile here once. Yourself and husband's. If he works in home country, did you submit his educational and work history for instance?

Hi Terki

Thanks for ur reply..... Yeah i am a pharmacy graduate and worked for R&D department in India. My husband is also a pharmacy graduate nd did his M.B.A in Ireland. He is wrkng as an IT professional in India. I am here as a student from sep 2013 nd did my pg diploma (1 yr course). I am on my PGWP for 1 year. so i moved to alberta ( as i have limited time period) nd found job under NOC skilled level B (Food service supervisor) nd applied for AINP(got my file num, included husband name too ).while i was a student i applied twice for my husband nd got rejected. Again we applied couple of months ago nd got rejected stating the above reasons from the previous post. Now i have my valid work permit till august 2015.
I hope i gave u a clear Idea....

Thank u

Hi Divya, I suspect it is a flag - difference between education and profession. What kind of IT role he has? Usually MBA is considered a different field. In my view this lowers his job prospects in his home country being a business major working as an IT professional.

Yeah u r true. But he showed his all experience nd he is not purely IT.He is working for Management department in an IT Firm (so related to his M.B.A).

Thanks

It's hard to read the VO's mind or how properly you put forward his application.

But If one has already studied in another country and came back it is positive in the sense that you respect rules of immigration. Negative in the way that you already have not much tied to your home country.

This can be alleviated by showing a strong job history in home country. Not just experience letter, even pay stubs and bank statement showing proof of income being transferred. It serves as a strong tie and i did that when i applied (though i was principal applicant with a Canadian job offer) but i needed to show what i was earning in my home country which served as a strong tie.

Some how pharmacy bachelors, then MBA and then job in an IT firm doesn't look promising and you need to elaborate it good enough to show a strong profile.

Clearly showing his job title and responsibilities correlated to his education should help. And do not show a lot more money than what's needed.

You had multiple rejections. Were the notes from the first time or second? Was there any difference in the refusal wordings the second time? How long ago was that?

Thanks for your valuable suggestion. These advice's really mean a lot to me at this time. when we got rejection for the first time we applied for notes and we got that. Now we applied again and we are waiting . Surprisingly we got same wordings for all the three refusals( family ties, will not return back). But this time they also added u have abundant job opportunities in your home country.

So at this point of time i dont know wat to do. should i apply for LMIA and first extend my stay nd then apply for my husband? My fren's spouses with all diff educational background ( nd diff job sector) got spouse visa's at first attempt. (jst out of curiosity).

Thanks for all ur suggestions.

Yeah, its a bit of a surprise. Specially the wording abundant. Actually abundant option at home country IS WHAT they are looking for to approve - not reject. They won't give visa to some one who has no prospects in home country because he is likely going to over stay in Canada - even if he doesn't get legal approval to live and work here.

I would stay you need to extend your stay now even if you were going to apply for first time. You have just too little time left in your current validity. So renewal or a possible PR in progress gets so.

I have seen a lot of this kind of weird refusals. Some how they never happen the first time if you apply with principal applicant (which is the person they actually want there). Coz applying together tells them either all with go or no body. So there are no partial refusals. But of course many people don't apply together because of higher risk of refusal.

I came here on an LMO based job and i applied for my wife and 3 kids together. Zero funds (a skilled job holder doesn't need to show funds), nor my spouse had any job experience being a full time mom, although she had an MBA. So i think they exploit separate late applications a bit. I saw one refusal for a friends of mine who was here on post doc, but his wife and kid applied separately. They at first couldn't establish that she deserves a SOWP because his husband was a post doc which is LMO exempt. They got through in second attempt, although docs were fine the first time too. Hope this sheds some light and gives you some hope.

Hello Experts,

Need your advice in my spouse's case. Let me explain the scenario first:

What - My spouse applied for a SOWP (marriage date Oct 19, 2014).
When - November 4th, 2014
Why - I am working on PGWP with a permanent job of Skill-A category.
How - Online with 5 documents - app form, medical proof, passport copy, photograph, and relationship doc (marriage certificate) as didn't get option to upload my documents (pay stub, PGWP, job offer letter, etc)

Post-application update:
Nov 11 - my spouse got a call from a visa office inquiring about DOB of both of us and marriage date.
Nov 14 - online application column "Application/profile status = cancelled" but no messages from CIC (pdf file) and column "A final decision has been reached = blank"
Jan 20 - online application column "Application/profile status = cancelled" (same) and column "A final decision has been reached = Not started yet"

My queries:
1. Should I still wait for getting a response why application got cancelled?
2. As application status is already "cancelled", should my spouse reapply?
3. Should my spouse apply for SOWP or visitor visa now?
4. Any other suggestion you may want to give?

Thanks all who are helping others in this forum!

I am afraid there is very little any one can guide you about the weird stages an online application gets into viewing your particular case. Mainly you missed some critical info and there is no way you could get a SOWP without providing proof of your PGWP, OFFER LETTER PROVING YOU HAVE A NOC A JOB (really critical to show your eligibility for SOWP).

So try to get your current status resolved and make sure you APPLY with all this info.

If there is no separate entry to upload these docs, combine them into a single pdf, with a cover page LISTING what is included and upload in say "proof of relationship".

I can understand that but the weird thing is after answering all the questions online to create an online profile, CIC don't give the option to upload these documents and they reject saying we didn't provide these docs!! I feel this is a flaw in their system. I have seen many online cases got rejected because of lack of these documents.

Anyways, thanks for your advance and I am thinking to do a paper based application this time.. phew!! ???
