Greetings, guys!
I'm looking to get some advice for my wife's OWP application. Let me describe my situation first. I've recently received my PGWP and currently looking for a job (it will be a NOC 0, A or B job). My wife is finishing her bachelors degree this fall. She is NOT studying in Canada or her home country. I want her to come to Canada (she wants it too). Oh, and she doesn't need medical exam.
I basically see three options for her.
1) Apply for OWP in the country she's studying in. (processing time much shorter)
2) Apply for OWP in the home country. (long processing time)
3) Get visitors visa and change status once she's in Canada.
Now, which approach would you recommend and why?
What documents are necessary? What documents are not required, but good to have?
What problems might arise?
Another question for those who think options 1 or 2 are better. My understanding is that the list of required documents is super short. It's only application, family info, passport, photo and marriage certificate. Why does everyone advise to submit many more supporting documents? Is there real value in doing that or will just complicate the processing of the application?
Looking forward to hearing some great stories!
Cheers!
