good news for me..hi friends my sowp online application applied on april27 got medical on june 2. will do medical soon..thanks for your support and pray.
i have previous 3 rejections when my wife was in unskilled job. now working on NOC B category for the last 4 months...feeling happy...

where did you applied from. Inside canada or from home country?

Hi dipakhania , i applied sowp online application in canada without medical on april 27, medicals done on june 5, waiting for the updation...horrible..

Hmmmm, very well said, ButterflyChemist. Never quite thought of it that way.

Some perspective is necessary in all things. Canada did not separate anyone and their spouse. This was the decision made by the parties involved when they left the other to go study or work in Canada. Secondly being granted temporary status in Canada is just that. At the end of the authorised period you must leave Canada. If your spouse has a job or is a student that does not guarantee you entry into Canada so when either party makes the decision to leave home for Canada they need to bear that in mind. Canada has a right to protect its borders.

Having said that I know its tough to be be apart from loved ones so we must prepare ourselves for the possibility while we hope for the best.

i am working in noc b and have wp till feb 2017, but my gf's wp expired and she is on implied status at the moment, is there any chance she can get open wp after getting married/common law? ???

I want to ask something that i am on visitor right now in canada. I want to get Spousal open work permit. I am not married but will going to marry. i have question that can i go india and marry there and my wife will apply for study permit and i will apply for SOWP together ? or
I can call her here first on study permit and get marry here and apply from inside canada for my SOWP? which way will be better?

Second option feels better. Actually a visitor will not get SOWP , a spouse with a skilled job only get sowp. How u got visit visa means how u acquired?

I was on Post Graduate Open Work Permit for 1 year. now that work permit is expired and i have applied for visitor visa to stay here and find LMIA to get my work permit.
If my fiance come here and then can i marry here and apply for Spousal open work permit while she is on study permit ?

You can only apply for PGWP once in a lifetime. SOWP as a dependent of a Canadian student is still very much possible.

Visa Applied for: SOWP
Application Type: Online in Canada (while spouse in India)
Medical: Upfront, attached during application submission
Submitted On: May 16, 2015
Passport Request from CIC: July 08, 2015
Passport Submitted @ VFS: July 09, 2015
Passport Received from VFS: Waiting , it is showing dispatched
