Hello,

I applied for my spouse on December 30, 2015. The application status is still "Open" - over 4 months.
I went to the spreadsheet, and everyone's application status is in process, is there something wrong with my application?
Anybody else has application status open?

Any comments or help is appreciated.

Please correct me if I am wrong:

(1) if applying in Canada----Indian Applicant must submit PCC-Police Clearance Certificate

(2) if applying in India----Indian Applicant do not need to submit PCC-Police Clearance Certificate

Does anyone know about it ?

Some body suggested the same in the below thread yesterday i.e. you do not require PC while applying for SOWP in India. So I guess your info is correct.

Any where else, other countries or inside Canada, PCC is always a mandatory requirement. This I can certify.

hi Friends,

I work in Canada and my wife is also in Canada on visitor Visa.
According to my knowledge, my wife is eligible to apply for '(SOWP) Spouse Open Work Permit inside Canada'.
Although she is a visitor for now, but I have work permit here. Therefore she is eligible.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Along with this one more query. Which one is the best way to apply for SOWP inside Canada:
(1) Paper Based
(2) Apply Online

My wife's visa got refused today. very sad to for me. The visa officer gave the reason that he is not satisfied with the she will come back from Canada and no travel history and no family ties in Canada.
