Hello my wife came to Canada as an international student and I came with her holding an Open Work Permit, now she has done her studies and has been applied for a post graduate work permit, however my open work permit will expire the march 30th, so I would like to remain here in Canada at least as a visitor, because my wife hasn't a full time job offer in a NOC 0, A or B, so according to that it's impossible that i can get an opew work permit again, now I wanna apply for a TRV how can i do, Does anybody know what's the link to apply? what kind of permit exactly I need? thanks

1. If you wish to remain in Canada, then you don't want a TRV, you want to extend your stay in Canada as a visitor. See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp

Hi I did it I submitted online the form IMM5708 and I check "an extension of a temporary resident status" my currently status is worker because I have a valid open work permit until March 30th, however I am worried because my visa which I use to enter to Canada on 2013 has expired but my work permit still valid. I don't wanna lose my status and leave the country and my wife, please help me.

Hello jfalvitez, I won't answer your question regarding extending your stay in Canada but have you tried Express Entry already? With your Open Work Permit did you work full time? I believe full time work for you & graduating in Canada for your wife is a huge advantage.

My GF & I will be applying this May, she has been accepted already in Fort McMurray, AB. If you don't mind, did you submit the application for Study & Work Permit together & what documents you submitted? TIA
