Hi Experts

Need your experts blessings here.

When I created my profile I eneterd all the educational details of my spouse but didn't claim any points for that as there was no ECA. ( We did ECA only for me as I was the main applicant and got educational points for me only).

Now when I got invitation , after filling out the form it is asking me to upload the educational certificates for my spouse - the problem is I don't have neither ECA and nor complete set of marksheets for my spouse.

Now my question is :

1. is it to ok to delete the educational entries for my spouse so the system will not ask the documents and inlcude the same in personal history.

2. Decline the invitation and delete the education entries and come in the pool again.

3. But I have claimed spouse points for the IETLS and the system didn't ask any documents for the same. In fact it is not asking IETLS document for me as well.It only says educational certficates.

Pls. help.

You CANNOT delete stuff you claimed points for AFTER you receive ITA. It may make your profile ineligible or reduce your points below the cut off for the draw you were selected.

2. Decline the invitation and delete the education entries and come in the pool again.

This a good option, hopefully your score will be high enough for the next draw.

3. But I have claimed spouse points for the IETLS and the system didn't ask any documents for the same. In fact it is not asking IETLS document for me as well.It only says educational certficates.

If you indicated your spouse is accompanying you, and she has education, they will ask for ECA, so you can hurry and apply for it, hopefully you get it in time before your ITA expires. If it's close to the expiration date and you haven't received WES report, you can decline the ITA

Pls. help.

Thanks Yelena

Below is my score where CRS - Spouse Level of education is 0.
I don't have my Spouse degrees and it will take time to get it from university. Since I didn't claim any points for spouse education why do I need to upload educational certificates. Is this mandatory for FSW ? Had I knew whiel creating teh profile , I would have mentioned Spouse educationas "NO"

I imagine it is perfectly legitimate to have a spouse as 'not accompanying' in one's application. And CIC cannot have much to say here - it is an individual's (and family's) prerogative to take these decisions independent of what CIC thinks about it. Of course some reasons like separation are self-explanatory but there can be other mitigating circumstances involving career, lifestyle, education, health, finances and others I can't even begin to imagine right now. No individual can be forced against their will to be a part of their spouse's immigration application - even by CIC.

Just my $0.02.

PS: I haven't done this myself but there are many forum members who have classified their spouses as 'not accompanying' and they are fully aware of the consequences.

It isn't mandatory and you clearly haven't got any points for spouse's education so you can safely remove it from your post ITA application. Then you won't be prompted to upload anything.

Yes, interesting points there. More interestingly, I just added my spouse into my EE profile with her personal details, education. I answered ECA = No and spouse language test = No, and transmitted the application.

A few minutes later, I checked my points and it hasn't reduced. So CIC considers spousal points and reduces principal applicants points, only after ECA and Test scores are updated for spouse?

Or would there be a time delay before these updates are reflected processed by CIC, so would my points be reduced tomorrow?

Probably the latter. You'll know for sure within 24 hours.
