Hi All,

I'm in the process of filling up an Express Entry application. I've taken IELTS-General and scored 7.5.
However, on the other hand my wife took IELTS-Academic since she was going to use it somewhere else. she scored 6.5.
The thing is I don't see an option to choose Academic, I mean it doesn't make any sense, since Academic is significantly more difficult than the General test.

Thoughts?

You cannot use it for immigration purposes.

If you wish to claim points she must take the IETLS General.

As Per rules, one *must* take IELTS-General Training. Academic won't work even if the score is all 9s
