Hi all,
I wanted to know if it is ok for my wife which is the Principal Applicant to go for vacation abroad for few days/ weeks. We are under Family Class Outland Application and our ECAS status is currently in Processing.
Thank you.

If she is a citizen - yes. If she is a PR - still OK but limit the trip to a few weeks at most.

As you are asking about the Principal Applicant, in an outland application, there is no restriction on foreign travel. Only the PA in an inland application needs to be careful. Scylla has explained the restrictions that apply to the sponsor as well.

Yes she is a citizen of the country she currently reside in.
We are just worried if it will affect the processing time of the application or if it will become an issue.
Thank you

Wow thank you for the lighting fast reply. I should have done this since the beginning. Trying to contact the immigration office directly is so hard since they are only open during working hours.

If she is not a Canadian citizen she is not supposed to go away but it seems 2-3 weeks seems to be overlooked.
