Good point. I was worried about her 'undeclared common law' spouse and that 117(9) rule. I realized after my post that address would have to match for her to sponsor via common-law, and yet if he's undeclared, putting that on paper would be like shooting herself in the foot (so to speak). If you plan to sponsor and he is undeclared (and we don't know all the details) I'd be very careful of submitting an application to sponsor via common-law. Better that you're not common-law, go home and get married, come back and sponsor via spousal application (as Steph alluded to already).

So meaning if i go back to the philippines after getting my PR Card and marry him would that be an assurance that I could sponsor him without harming my status as a PR?? OMG..

I was asked about it when i land, he asked if we are engaged or living together..i should tell him cause if not ill be having a trouble sponsoring him in the future :'(

Yes, please be careful missyani! I know that in certain circumstances being common law while you are being sponsored as a dependent child can invalidate your PR.

Dependent children

A son or daughter is dependent when the child:

is under the age of 22 and does not have a spouse or common-law partner;
is over the age of 22 and has been continuously enrolled as a full-time student and depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22;
became a spouse or a common-law partner before the age of 22 and has been continuously enrolled as a full-time student and depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since becoming a spouse or common-law partner, or
is over the age of 22 and depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22 because of a physical or mental condition

I really hope the one in bold above applies to you.
If you didn't declare him, you would have to go back, marry him and somehow prove that you weren't common law when you entered Canada.

What about the time,do we have to wait for a year or two before sponsoring him as a SPOUSE not common law since it could affect my status?cause i just got here,a fresh PR..

magpapa-medical na sana ako this week umulan naman... sana hindi na tuloy tuloy ang ulan
bro Polgas taga-Baguio ka ba? mga what time sila open sa Nationwide? kailangan ba magpa-sched bago pumunta?

Oo brad 8-4 nakabukas ang Nationwide dito pero 3pm ata cut off na nila. Agahan mo nalang konti kasi minsan daming tao rin na galing sa baba. Pero no need na ng Appointment dito kahit walk in ok lang.

i think spouse is faster from what ive seen....dont worry bout being unemployed, ganun din fiance ko nung sponsor nya ako, naapprove naman sya...need lnag na wala kang mga utang or government assistance

Thanks jen, nakakalungkot lang kc excited na kc ko kung maipasa na sa CEM ang medical namin nang anak ko araw araw naman kmi nag uusap nang hubby ko noon sa skype ngayun naman sa face time kahit nasa work xa nakakapag usap kami kaya ok lang kc parang kasama rin namin xa. Tama ka siguro nga kailangan maging busy ako sa family ko habang andito pa kami. Naka apartment kmi mag ina dalawa lang kami dito sa laguna starosa. Kaya nga balak ko na tumira samin after nang graduation nang anak ko 6 years old pa lang sya and boy,. Uuwi na kami nang libis quezon city para makasama ko family ko dun at mag enjoy muna habang waiting kami para hindi narin ako na iistress thanks jen ha,. Hirap talaga pag wala masyadong nakakausap ;D Thank you :-*

Sorry sis now lang ako naka online dito sa forum , tama yung magiging desisyon mo na lumipat na after ng graduation ng anak mo. Para makasama mo ang pamilya ko while waiting sa visa kasi sis pag nag remed 2-4 months maximum magkakavisa na kayo ng anak mo. Tulad ko dati Aug. 30, 2012 remed ko finorward sa CEM ang result Sept. 11, 2012 tapos Dec. 7, 2012 dumating visa ko.

Saka pala sis bago kayo lumipat ng anak mo sa Q.C wag mong kalilimutan na iinform ang CEM sa new address mo incase na ang Laguna ang nilagay mo na mailing address mo. Para walang hassle sis...
