You don't have to process divorced papers here in Canada because once your Annulment is granted your status is back to.single wherever you go.

No you dont have to file a divorced here in Canada.if you have the annulment certificate ,submit that to CRA to change your status and all your legal documents. Trust me, I've been there!Yeah , its just LDR ddnt work out. so i don't why my ex says that i have to file a divorce papers here in CA as well, she was advice by a lawyer in the phils. Just recently today as we speak. i'm not sure which is right.

I don't know if it's a similar problem. I am a permanent resident in Canada and I want to sponsor my partner in the Philippines but he is also married. Maybe he can apply for a visitor visa and file for divorce here in Canada so we can get married here?
