No you dont have to file a divorced here in Canada.if you have the annulment certificate ,submit that to CRA to change your status and all your legal documents. Trust me, I've been there! :)

Tamong ko lang po kung pwede bamg harangin yung annulment na nafile ng ex husband ko? paano kung ayoko magpa annulled? nakapag set na ng hearing sa Philippines pero hindi ako nakapunta dahil nasa ibang bansa ako

I don't know if it's a similar problem. I am a permanent resident in Canada and I want to sponsor my partner in the Philippines but he is also married. Maybe he can apply for a visitor visa and file for divorce here in Canada so we can get married here?

He can apply for a TRV. If it is refused, you can sponsor him through the conjugal class, provided you meet the other requirements.

Note that if approved, he would have to reside in Canada for a year before he could file for divorce.

I saw here that you need to be a canadian citizen to file a divorce and send the papers to the philippines to get recognized. Same rin ba pag dual citizen?
