Hi ,
I’m in canada and I applied for sowp for my common law partner in India before the sowp rule changes which got refused on the basis that there are large amount of deposits in inviters bank statements, IRCC does not have a clear picture of the employment status & income in Canada, therefore they are not sure the application meets the criteria on this type of open work permit.

Which I provided employment letter , paystubs , bank statements, t4 for the employment status in canada.
I applied for a reconsideration req which has no reply from march 6th now .

now I am thinking to apply visitor visa for my partner on the basis of family visit , partner has a stable job and have home ties ,
What do you think will be the approval rate for the visitor visa now ? If I mention these previous refusal in the application?

Reconsideration doesn’t have a timeline. Did you explain the large transfer of funds with proof of their origins? There any also be concern about the validity of your work experience in Canada. Your common law can apply for a TRV but given the sponsorship refusal it may be difficult to get approval.
