Hi all,
I sponsored for my husband who lives in another country and I live in Canada. I sponsored for him a year ago and my application returned back 2 times. First, there was some things were missing and the second was the application system changed. So, they returned my whole application back. In these application forms, they are asking proof of relationship with pictures, text messages, living together (but we are both in different countries right now), and they are asking for a letter people who attended in our engagement and promise day. Or who knows our relationship. My question is what should I ask people to write in their letter. Like, Hi my name is Jessica and I’m jakes friend. I attend his engagement in Turkey. Or I’m his uncle and I attended with my wife etc. What should i do? Please help? And also as a proof in all application questions what should I also add?

Hi,
It sounds like you are not eligible to apply for sponsorship. To apply, you either need to be married (which, because you said fiance, it sounds like you aren't) or common-law partners (which, since you said you are living in different countries) it sounds like you aren't.

Hi, I forgot to mentioned that we are officially married. Since we don’t live together yet that’s why I said fiancé.

Did you send in photos of the engagement party ... official wedding ceremony.. your outings in turkey ??

Yes I did all. I even put my and his vacation tickets as well. Now I will start my application from the beginning because the system was changed. Hopefully I will send my application ASAP.

Yes, I mean I will start in couple days.

Have u been working full-time till now?
I would like to know if we can apply without job as a student?
Also, if we can apply with part-time job or we need to have a full-time job to apply?

Can u share details on ur job history?

Thanks alot

Yes I did and yes you can. But they might ask who is gonna take care of you and your spouse.
Is your spouse outside of Canada? And is he/she can speak English? And who’s gonna work? And It doesn’t matter if you’re part time or full time. As long as if you or someone can support you in financial. Does your dad or mom works full time? They can write a letter that they will support you guys. Even they don’t have to support but it will help if they write a letter.

Thanks a lot for ur reply, I appreciate it.

What u mean by ur first sentence...YES I DID AND YES U CAN??
I'm in Canada and my spouse is outside of Canada and can speak English.
My parents are also outside Canada.

Can we apply as a student without any job?

Thanks again, ur information helps.

Sorry I meant, yes I did work full time and you can apply if you are a student. But are you living with someone? If you’re not working now, they might ask how are you going to support your spouse?

In terms of the letters your friends and family need to talk about when they heard you talking about you dating each other, when you first met your bf/gf, talk about other times you have met the gf/bf and describe activities you have done as a group, describe if they attended an engagement party/ bridal shower/wedding, describe the preparations that they have seen for the move to Canada now that you are married, describe if they have seen you since the wedding, etc.
