Spouse application sent to Mississauga Canada 17th August, 2012

My wife applied for my immigration under Family Class Sponsorship Category and the application was received by Mississauga Canada on 17th August, 2012, but till today we have not received any response from their side, neither any approval letter. However, on the other hand, a friend of mine who is in Canada applied for his wife who is in India a week after our application and they have received approval as well as the Embassy in India have asked for their Passport as well as Police Verification last week...

What i wish to know is whether the male cases are processed slower than the female cases...is it so? Further, could anyone plz let us know how much more time they are going to take for approval....

Please check the link below and you will see that they are processing the applications received as of August 13th 2012.Hope fully you should receive email from them this week...

As far as your friend is concerned I dont know how did he receive approval email and also Letter from New Delhi requesting for PPR and Police certificate if he applied one week later than you.Normally it takes 2-3 weeks to request for Passport from New Delhi office after file gets transferred.So I am bit confused with your friends saying but strange things do happen in life...

.All cases are same irrespective of male and female and CIC does not differentiate in this regard...Be patience and you should hear from them this week...

Thanks tahsinmohammad for the reply. We are a bit restless due to the fact that she is pregnant and we are going to have a baby in December, 2012 and we heard from someone that preference is given to such cases, but in our case it doesn't looks like so....do you have any idea about this?

Yes I heard and it happened with my friends wife way back in 2004.She was in Canada within 35 days after applying in Toronto as she was 7 months pregnant but that was like 8 yrs back and now the processing times have changed a lot.But wishing you good luck and I hope your case gets approved with COPR ASAP....

No worries I thought the other way around.I guess you can do one thing...After you get your sponsor approval and once you have the UCI and File Number in your hand, do send a Letter to the New Delhi Embassy saying that your spouse is pregnant and she will be delivery on so and so date.Tell them there is no one to take care of her (If she is alone) and you need to be with her during her last stage of pregnancy. I guess they will consider and I think theres nothing wrong in sending a letter to them.Please include a letter from her Doctor in Canada about your spouse pregnancy and approx. date of delivery.Who knows you might get lucky and be with your spouse during this time...Visa Officer at New Delhi might consider your request and process your file ASAP....Good Luck...

yaa you are right CIC saying that they are working on 13 aug file but people who applied in end of august and start of sept got there apprrovals.
but they missed few dates in between. like i applied on 13 aug but didt heard any thing and if u see august 2012 thread people who applied between 10 -13 august are still waiting but people who applied on 28 aug got approval.. no idea what CIC doing

dont worry my friend . you will get good news from mississauga next week. current processing time of mississauga is 65 days after receiving application

They do send some approvals by e-mail and some by mail so we are hoping that the delay is just waiting for notice by post- and that not always do they send an AOR either.

I've been bugging my husband with the same question. I'm sorry your applications are taking longer. I feel for you as I think my application from September will be the same case (I can already see it). They jumped from the first week of September to the middle of the month. I know it's premature to think about it but seeing the pattern and how CIC works, worries me already.
