Spouse Application returned due to "New application fees"

Hi,
My partner paid $1390CAD for the inland-spouse application, which include the work permit, however, the application is returned and was asked to refer to the "Pease refer to the new fees".
We are unsure how to do this, are we suppose to pay again? how do we ask for a refund of 1390?

Yes that's what I paid just now $1080, because my partner has Biometrics done when he came to the country 4 years ago.

Isn't your total ... 1335? Why was 1390CAD paid...
I did add $85 Biometrics fee. Do you need to get biometric?

UMM I am not sure why my partner paid 1390, it's so strange, I will let him pay the $255 now regarding work permit, and resubmit the application , we did ask for a refund, will the IRCC refund us the full 1390 ?

I am not familiar with the refund process. May be others can help.

When did you send your application and when did they receive it? I believe they increased the fee last month. If you want to ask for a refund (full amount), use their web form: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp#q2
