Hello I hope you’re doing great, my name is *pipe*, I’m from Costarica and I hope you can help me answer a question that I have.
I’m about to start a Spouse and sponsor process my wife she will be sponsoring me, we’ve hired a formal lawyer to work on the case for us, I lived in Canada for a few years while I was a teenager then my family applied for refuge witch got denied, I got deported to Costarica then I re entry Canada several times using fake documentation long story short I Got deported a total of 3 times from Canada, last time got into a argue with my wife that was girlfriend at that time and some neighbors called the [Police then I got charged for assault no sentence was given but an immigration hold to be deported a moth later, in Costarica we Got married and we now have a beautiful daughter 11 months old who needs me she was born in Canada, they both left a few months ago back to Canada and no w I’m just waiting for the application process. Hope this really works regardless if what I did in the past I’m only 24, and I really want to be with my baby girl. Any comments will be highly appreciated, God bless you.

Are you good for Canada.........??? Maybe you have changed.....but I'm not convinced!

Good Luck though..

You have a LONG, UPHILL battle ahead of you.

Your immigration history says you have a lack of respect for rules and the proper way of doing things, so your motives in marrying your wife are going to be suspect right from the start. That you re-entered Canada with fraudulent documents more than once after being deported says you are willing to do whatever it takes to get into Canada, including lie and defraud.

Your criminal history (I realise there weren't any charges, but you were still arrested) is also going to count against you in a family class sponsorship. You're going to have to convince the IO that your behaviour towards your wife and child will in no way necessitate a repeat of what happened when she was your girlfriend.

I sincerely hope your lawyer has explained to you how much of a battle you will face with this sponsorship, and that you are prepared for a long wait while your application is scrutinized. You have seriously handicapped your chances with your past behaviour.

I know I’ve done lots of stupid thinks I guess I was young and unwise, there is no excuse for that anyways, my Father in law he’s a formal Lawyer and he owns some restaurants in Kitchener like Montana’s and Kelsey’s. He wrote a letter stating that if I get approved on my application he will be hiring me to work for him, and the fact that he knows me for a long time, I have no criminal record in my country I’ve my bachelor degree and work for a very well known company such as Hewlett Packard, Don’t know what else to say I’m a good person. :(

A lot depends on the assault. You were arrested - that is, taken to the police station by police officers. You were charged as well? Were the charges dropped? Or were you found guilty and then deported? Or did you plead guilty?

Make sure you get a lawyer who knows about immigration, because the one thing that could completely end your chances of getting a PR visa is having a conviction for assault against your partner.
