My wife is looking to start a course at a private education facility in BC next year and I was hoping to get an open work permit.
However it looks now like the education provider she was with is not suitable for me to get an open work permit.

That for me to apply for an open work permit the course needs to be at one of these

She will have no problem getting a study permit, it's just me getting the open work permit which now looks to be more of a challenge.

- a public post-secondary school, such as a college or university, or CEGEP in Quebec
- a private college-level school in Quebec
- a Canadian private school that can legally award degrees under provincial law (for example, Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree)
She will have no problem getting a study permit, it's just me getting the open work permit which now looks to be more of a challenge.
