I was wondering how long it would take to receive a file number after you submit you application? I am a canadian citizen and I applied for my husband who works in Dubai.

Most people receive it in 15 - 30 days. I received mine after 20 days.
However, few people have been over 45 days and still didn't get anything.
There is no fix time.
But if you don't hear anything after 43 days (assessment of sponsor), it's better to call them.
