Well Zardoz, I of course accept what you say but I have skimmed through the link and cannot see a single word about a blood test; and I still cannot remember having had one in Canada though I seem to have them almost every week in the UK and remember them all (or at least the nurses who administered them!)

I had a blood test as part of my IME. It's required for quite a few of the checks, such as syphilis for example. You would/should have had one.

Here is the full information: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/partner/pp/
Also blood work is for hepatitis and HIV.

Complete info is here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/dmp-handbook/

Any reference to "serology", "serum", "viral load" or "antibodies" mandates a blood sample collection.

Hello again,

Due to family issues we are leaving the country in June and heading for Canada and applying Inland. Not ideal but we're faced with no choice due to not having the money for the fees yet. So a few more questions!

Should i get a police certificate before we leave the UK?
From what i've read id need to apply for temporary status (or something like that) and how is that done? Also an open work permit but that seems straight forward enough :)
I'm assuming id need a return flight too that i can refund at a later date? Anything else i should know?

As far as evidence of a relationship goes, i have around 45 pictures with details on the back including wedding pics and pictures from visits. A few letters he sent me in the past. Facebook screen shots of messages and posts. Parts of skype convos. Cards from past christmases/valentines days etc and cards people sent from the wedding. Each written out a summary of events in our relationship since day 1. I was also going to get friends and family to confirm things like where we stayed during his visits and when he flew over etc. Proof of where we went on holidays and days out together. Proof of honeymoon booking. We dont have any of his plane tickets other than one, we have no bank account together other than a savings account. Is there anything else that might be handy to have?

Thanks again guys, you've all been a huge help and feel terrible to keep asking you (probably) silly questions!! It's all very much appreciated :)
