Hello,

We have done court marriage in October 2016 and then submitted our file.

Then after that we got married ritually in January 2017. But we did not inform Visa Office about that.

My wife got an Interview call at New Delhi Office for June 2nd, 2017. She appeared for the Interview and Indian woman was the interviewer. As they did not know about our January ritual marriage ceremony so my wife told them about that. Interviewer got upset about it not informing them but in the end asked for January wedding pictures.

It's been a week and half we haven't heard anything from them. So We don't know what's going to happen.

Did anyone ever experience this situation. Some tips might help us to reduce our tension.

Thanks

Why didnt you guys just wait until after the January wedding to send the application, to strengthen your case? Clearly that was a huge issue to them

I believe CIC is reviewing your case once again now that a new evidence to prove your relationship is genuine had come to their attention. Be patient and keep an eye on your emails. You can also order your GCMS Notes to know more about the officer's take on your marriage.

What? How can that be being dishonest? Can you not try to comment on all threads you see and then say you can be wrong. If at first you think you're wrong, then do not comment at all.

The process is to inform the VO about status changes, address changes, family composition, etc, not rituals that are outside of what is recognized by Canada.
If they were interested in anything like that VO should be clear about it.
Otherwise the interviewer was just playing with her power. Visa offices expect all of us to abide by very strict regulations. We have the same expectations of them.

with the interviewer they have every right to ask any questions they want because they are weeding out whose real and who is fake.

They sure do. And if they are to act professional they should ask any major questions in the beginning of the interview and not get upset, implying the applicants made a major mistake. VO officers are in a position of certain power and this seems like abuse of it - applicants coming here so scared, without actually doing anything wrong.

you must understand they are the front lines they have to see who is a real marrage and who's a marriage of convenience so sometimes they have to be rude and in some cases their hunche's and gut feeling is right when it is a marriage of convenience. because certain countries are known for marriage fruad plus people try to come to canada at all cost and there is bad people that ruin it for real couples with people from visa exempt countries they rearly do interviews

For sure they need to weed out the real from the fake, but I don't see how being rude helps with that.
They need to ask direct questions, and probe from every side - yes, for sure. But getting rude and getting upset at applicants doesn't achieve anything and is just unprofessional.

my husband had his landing interview on April 28 2017 at cic ethobicoke how ever you spelled it and he's from portugal which is visa exempt during the process we did not have a relationship interview thank god but our representative was telling us she had a client and they had a realtionship interview and she was a translator and she was telling us how rude they are plus asking personal question the officer was just nasty and rude to cut the story short they were still approved because they see them as a real couple

I think personal questions should be asked, I agree. In this context it should not be interpreted as rude.

well do they use local staff as interper and local staff had visa officer and locals as embassy staff. it's like they are following the old conservative and harper immigration rules and do they train them

You should have informed them of the ritual marriage as soon as it happened. A court marriage for a couple from India is outside of the cultural norm and anything outside of the cultural norm is a red flag for a Marriage of Convenience.

At this point, you need to just wait for IRCC to contact you.
