Can someone please help me find form ppt 028....I need to send them to my husband in PAK so that I could get my kids passports. They wont issue them until he goes to embassy and sign those forms and I cant find them online....Please help. thx

I also wanted to ask if anyone here had there status updated to decision made before they get passport request....I had applied for my husband's visa since January 2010 and last week the status was changed to decision made and we will contact u concerning the decision. But reading many posts here have made me very as I have seen people mentioning that if decision is made before asking for passport then it is a rejection....But is there not a single person here who had decision made on cic web b4 passport request was sent to him....I could not sleep thinking all negative since past few nights but now I wana be positive....Hope to hear some good experiences as well.

Also wanted to let u guys know that our second medical has also expired about 4 months ago....and they did not ask for a third one....and we just had the police Clarence done ones.......but we do have 2 kids together and i have been visiting pak every year for about 3-4 months.

God Forbids if my husband's case is rejected does anyone know how long the appeal procedure is for Pakistani people? and how much would usually a lawyer charge for it.
I had recently hired a top toronto immigration lawyer for $3500 just for looking into my case....but if it is rejected and have to appeal wonder how much more would he charge me......I am most concerned about the period of appeal.....would it be solved in months or years again?

Please reply......I would really appreciate ur feedbacks and support.

PPT 028 must be obtained from Service Canada or a visa office:

The parent living abroad will be required to contact the nearest passport issuing office in their jurisdiction or nearest Canadian Mission abroad to make arrangements for them to complete the PPT 028 - Acknowledgement/Consent to Provision of Passport Facilities for a Minor Child. This form is to be completed and signed in the presence of the passport officer.

There is no charge for processing this form.

In my experience, a DM prior to receiving a PPR is a rejection, however there have been some cases in which there is an error in the e-CAS data.

If you choose to appeal, I hope you don't have to file with Toronto. The time for IAD appeals in Toronto seems to be about 2 years to obtain a hearing, while it is 6 months for Vancouver (I'm not sure what the time is for Montreal).

I must admit, I'm surprised that you'd be refused with two children, but that speaks well to your chance of success on appeal. In my experience, hiring an attorney to represent you at an appeal will cost between $2500-5000, but the quality of the attorney is not necessarily proportional to the fee they charge, either. Try to find someone who has been successful in appealing cases similar to yours - nothing speaks better than a record of success.
