Spousal Support - when to arrive after receiving "confirmation of PR"

I am Canadian and I have lived in Korea since 2014.
I got married to a Korean woman (in Korea) in 2015.
Then in January, 2016, I submitted the PR sponsorship application for my new Korean wife.

Late 2016, my wife received the "confirmation of Permanent residence" letter.
The letter shows that "the issued date is 2016/11/16" & "valid to 2016/12/16".
Additionally, the expiry date is 2021/06/28.

Because of some personal matters, we need to stay in Korea for 1-2 years.

Is there any problem if we leave for Canada in a couple of years?

Thank you.

Did she already go to Canada to do her official PR landing before Dec 16, 2016?

If not, then her COPR is now no longer valid so her current PR app is closed. You would need to start all over from the beginning to sponsor her again. Recommend you postpone this until within a year of when you actually want to move to Canada permanently.

Thank you for your feedback.

She did not do official PR landing yet.
It seems like I need to do all over again.

By the way, it does not make sense to me because how come I have only month for preparation (2016/11/16 ~ 2016/12/16)?

If she re-apply in a couple of years, does she have a lower chance to get a PR due to her "not landing history"?
Please note that we have a child between us (born in Korea after we got married, and she is Canadian by birth)

Thank you.

As she did not land in Canada and declare PR before the mid-December 2016 date, then yes, I am afraid it is now too late and the CoPR has expired.

The expiry date for the CoPR is normally 1 year from the date of the medical. Assuming you had the medical up-front (as was the case under the old regime) then your expiry date of December 2016 does ring true. It is not uncommon for there to be such short timescale windows between the issue of the CoPR and it's expiry I am afraid!

Reapplying in a couple of years will be no problem and while you will have to disclose this earlier visa attempt and probably explain why you didn't exercise it, the fact that you didn't land in time shouldn't affect things.

Make sure you have registered your child for Canadian citizenship and get her her own Canadian passport.
