You do know that :

1.Inland applications are taking more that 16 months to process (Regular processing times ) and if an interview is required before recieving AIP to make sure the marriage is real you add another 12-24 months on it depends on the local CIC office near you.

2. Your wife cant work , study until she gets first stage approval which is usaully after 9 months (again only if you dont need an interview)

3.That you can apply outland while staying inland but if an interview is required your wife will have to travel to her home country.
I was under the impression that it would take 6-8 months. I just find that if we apply for outland it would mean she would have to go back home, if she is ask for an interview which would mean a burden on our finance.
What would you suggest?

By current status do you mean work?

She is not working at the moment. What we are worried about is the fact that she has no health coverage as well. I know that many people are very kind here and tell us not to panic, but the truth is we are very new at this and somewhat lost, and at the moment we have been lucky that no serious illness has arise where she doesn't need any medical, but God forbid she did, I don't even want to think of that....

She was here on a work visa right? when is it going to expire ?

I know what your saying about health coverage I too had the same problem so that one of the reasons you should consider outland as an option and not rule it out because its faster.Do you have a good job? you can add her to you insurance if you do.

Proving your marriage is real:

How long have you been married? you have to gather as much proof as possible about your relationship before and after marriage (this for inland and outland its very important) proof can be:

1.Joint lease agreements
2.joint bank accounts
3.joint assets
4.Tax return that proves your married
5.Pics
6.Letters from familly and friends
7.chat logs , birthday cards ,
8.Utility bills
9.Reciete for stuff bought together

ANYTHING you think will satisfy as proof of your relationship

@Material

Yes she does have a work visa, expiry date would be approximately 10-11 months from now.
Yes our marriage is genuine..
And Yes I do have a good job with health coverage, not the greatest though. I did not now that my work heath plan covers the same things as OHIP does.
I should look into that. Thanks
As far as being married, It's only been two weeks, but we do have lots of proof that our relationship is genuine, we don't have some of the things you have on your list here, like a joint lease or a joint account as of yet. Pictures, letters, chat logs birthday cards, and things like that we do have plenty of, and many friends who would vouch for us......

You should definitly look into including your wife into your health coverage. The good thing is that she has a descent amount of time before her visa will expire so try and spend the next couple of days thinking (sit together over the weekend :))on which route will be best in your situation.Gather more proof as the days go by, Im guesing this is the first time you file tax after being married , make sure you dont file it as (single).

Where did you get married ? your marriage certificate has to be leagalised in whatever country you were married in.Try and get the police clearance for every country she has lived in for more than six months in the last 10 years(dont worry about Canada)

I know it seems like a lot of info but like I said take the process step by step and dont rush into things.

The following things could raise a red flag which "could" lead to an interview:

1.Different Backrounds (meaning you and your wife are from different cultures)
2.Age differance (not all the time but sometimes)
3.communication (if you only communicate in english your wifes english has to be good)
4.Previouse marriages (either you or your wife)
5.Being refused entry to Canada (again its not always an issue)
6.Failed refugee claim

Those are the things that Im remembering right now, will try to add some later

I don't think any of these things really effect me, except for the age difference.
We did get married here in Canada, everything was done accordingly, to Municipal Law....

Yes you can if your are sending an inland app , include the work permit app with it and yes its an extra 150 $ but you wont get a response untill you recieve AIP.

Age differance doesnt really matter if you can prove strong ties to ur relationship.

Thank You For The Tip....

Sounds Like It's Going To Be A Pretty Expensive Venue....LoL

So Over All What Kind Of An Expense Are We Looking At?
Like I Mentioned Earlier, Finance Is A Little Tight Right Now, As I Am The Sole Provider At This Time, Even Though I Make A Descent Living, All My Expensive Throughout The Months Sure Adds Up.....
