I am a permanent resident in Canada and my wife has open work permit in Canada. We recently got married in India, however didn't get the marriage certificate from India. Please advise if we can get our legal marriage certificate in Canada and that will work? or we have to go back to India and get the marriage certificate from there? Please help

You can marry here. Get a marriage license first from registry and get a lawyer and get married. Then u will get a certificate.
