Hello.
So me and my husband were married a few months ago and we would like to start a PR process for him. I'm a Canadian citizen and he's from India on a student permit. Currently, I work part time so I don't meet the LICO requirements. Will his application be rejected immediately?

There is no minimum income requirement to sponsor a spouse.

Hi,
I want to clarify about my appilcation of OWP(IMM 5710) that I submitted last March 13,2018 and returned to me last April 27. This application is with conjunction with an application for permanent residence made under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class (CPC- Mississauga) for reason of unsufficient processing fees. My trv just expires last March 15, 2018, do I have to restore my status ? Is that the reason why they returned my application ? I thought when you apply for an open work permit the includes the extension fees so I did not restore my status. Another, aside from this application I also send (IMM 5710) that i submit to CPC -Mississauga, I also submit the same application (IMM 5710) to CPC- Vegeville. I did not resubmit this application yet as I am advise to submit because it might create confusion . I am worried because restoration is 90 days after expiration you should file, but I have not receive any from CPC Vegreville about my OWP.. I am confused ..Please advise me what to do.

This is, literally, the reason I ended up here in Canada. My home country had a minimum income requirement even to sponsor a spouse, and we were students when we got married. Canada is a much better country in that respect!
