I jsut started working..June 2 2011:S

With my application, my employer provided me letter of employment stating the year I started, employment status, hours I work and salary. I also send Option C you can request from Canada Revenue.

Hi to all!

Can i ask whether, I can leave Canada for a while, like 2 to 3 months (I am the sponsor) for work, while the sponsorship is in process?

If you are a citizen, you may sponsor your spouse while living outside Canada. You may be asked to provide proof of your intention to return to Canada before your spouse is approved for PR.

If you are a PR, you must be living in Canada to qualify to sponsor. Short absences are permitted, leaving the country for 3 months is not.

I am a pr. So even after i am approve as a sponsor i still cannot leave the country?

No you cannot leave the country for extended periods, even after you have been approved to sponsor your spouse. To be eligible to sponsor, a PR MUST be living in Canada. The period for you to be eligible by meeting all the conditions does not end after you have been approved, it continues up until the application is finalised (that is, your spouse receives PR).

I really appreciate if someone can answer my question:

I am sponsoring my wife, we are preparing the documents as we speak. There are two forms (Schedule A and Additional Family Information) which in the guides say These forms must be completed by the principle applicant (i.e My wife) and spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not)

My question is this: If I am sponsoring my wife do I need to fill in these forms for myself as well? OR I should stick to the forms for the sponsor?

You're not an accompanying spouse, you are a sponsoring spouse, so you don't need to fill them in. Stick with the forms for the sponsor only.

1) You haven't said what visa office his application is going through, or whether they have requested and received the CSQ as yet.

2) You may VISIT him for short periods, like a vacation of two weeks, you may not MOVE to be with him during the process.

i applied to sponsor my husband in march & i received the CSQ in june , as i know that we should wait until the visa office call him to get the visa which didn't happen yet , so

1- should he apply for a visa & send the application to the visa office ( egypt ) or just wait for them to call him ? its 3 months now

2- can i visit him ? or should i stay in canada ( i have a PR ) ? how long can i stay with him outside canada ?

3- if i visited him can i stay till he gets his visa & go back to canada together ?

4- how much time it takes to get a visa after receiving CSQ?

thanks in advance

thanks for your reply

all what i know is that when i received the csq there was a letter stating that i must send the csq to my husband & they ( immigration canada) will notify the visa office in egypt , visa office didn''t request anything up till now so i don't know what to do

When the visa office needs the CSQ to continue processing the application, they will ask for it. You should send a copy to them at that time.
