Hello Guys,

I received passport request for my wife's PR application today. I have a question. My wife is already in Canada on a visitor visa. Obviously she can't send the passport to New Delhi Visa office because she is in Canada. We will have to send it to Ottawa. Right? Is there a procedure to notify NDVO that we will be sending the passport to ottawa and not to New Delhi office? I am worried because the email states that " Your passports and photos must be received by the visa office in New Delhi within 30 days of the date of this letter. Failure to comply with this request could result in the refusal of your application. Please include a copy of this letter along with your submission".
How will NDVO know that information ? Please advise!

If NDVO says U can submit to Ottawa that looks much better. NDVO will be informed they have v good inter-communication thru internet. And if you follow what they say at least U will not be blamed.

For sponsoring the spouse outland, is it part of the process to get the spousal biometrics?

I know that the applicant to apply for a study or work permit, or for permanent residence needs biometrics done at VAC locations. But how about the person living out of Canada who is sponsored by a Canadian citizen?

This is my first time posting here and i just need your help guys. It`s been 7 months since i applied my wife and my son for a sponsorship, i passed it last May 30, 2018 and after a month we received an update that the Sponsorship Application Status are already been decided and they sent the papers to the immigration of Canada in the Philippines. And on July 12, 2018 they sent an email for my wife and son medical examination. My wife finished already her medical but after 2 months of waiting for some internet issues in the Philippines my wife didn't saw that they were asking for my son`s medical too and we got so worried but i called here in IRCC and they told me that as long as the doctor will gonna accept the medical form even the date are far behind my son can still undergo for the medical examination. My son finished his medical examination last September 27, 2018 but until now we didn`t receive any update. One of my mom`s friend sponsored her family too and they were already here in Canada she applied last June 2018, the thing is i applied first but they`ve got their approval first, I know one of the reasons that my sponsorship application got delayed is because of the medical examination of my son but it`s been almost 2 months since my son did his medical examination, my son is waiting for me this Christmas but i cant just go because i am waiting for their papers to get approve and i only have 1 month vacation leave at my work, any suggestions or any help will be appreciated.

After the medical is done, they still need to do the background check and from my own experience, this is what takes the longest, but every application and office is different.

I got a mail requesting for additional pcc from the last country I lived and I have one that I got when I was leaving the country which is clean and i read on cic website that I can use pcc gotten after leaving a parcular country provided I haven't gone back there after. I tried requesting for a new pcc through a lawyer and he said the record is not clean anymore as their was a pending case that was concluded 4months after I left. The lawyer said he will try and make an application to clean it off and that might take a while

Please can anyone help if I submit the clean one, would they know?

I think you only have 30 days to submit the form , and if you can't get that taken off, you'll have to submit it with that on your record. From my own personal experience, you will be denied. My husband was denied for having a small offense on his record fromover 10 years ago. When /if the deny you, you'll have the option to appeal. Hopefully by the appeal date, you will have it taken off abd you will win your appeal.

If you had a pending criminal case and did not disclose it, you committed misrepresentation. If you try to hide it, you are committing more misrepresentation.

Yes, they can certainly find out when they run checks. They may have requested it because they already found something and want confirmation.

Hi guys, I need some help and hopefully will help others as well.

I am waiting to complete a year living with my girlfriend of 4 years who is a permanent resident to apply for the common law relationship sponsorship, I am currently a worker with a open work permit expiring in July and by the time we complete our year living together to apply I will only have 3 months left before my open work permit expires. My question is: should I include a work permit application with my sponsorship application? If so, what should I put if I don't have an LMIA since it is a open work permit? Also, am I still able to work even if my permit expires while waiting a response from CIC?
